YOUR LITTLE ESCAPE
Essential storage supports your account. Optional Google Analytics cookies are used only if you allow analytics; advertising storage stays disabled.
_syracuseweather_session is a first-party encrypted, HttpOnly cookie used for authentication, guest identifiers, form security and temporary notices. It uses SameSite=Lax and expires after 12 hours. A guest visit itself lasts no more than two hours. Signing out or ending your guest visit clears that visit.
sw:favourites stores guest favourites on this device; sw:motion stores your effects preference. nbs:round: keys in session storage hold in-progress round identifiers to make interrupted requests safe to retry. nbs:reminder: keys remember your reminder dismissal for the tab session. The game renderer may use nbs: game keys for in-progress visual state. These keys do not turn guest play into a persistent account balance.
The first-party nbs_analytics_consent cookie remembers whether you allowed or rejected analytics for 180 days. It is used only for this preference. Change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. Removing the preference cookie will make us ask again.
The workshop and atmosphere page keep your saved choices on this browser for visitors, or in your account when signed in. Postcard drafts and quiet-room mix settings are stored on this browser. Images are composed locally. A shared postcard link contains its message and design in the URL fragment, visible to anyone you share it with. The site does not send postcards automatically. Sound is generated on your device and starts only when you press Start.
Remove browser storage in your browser settings, or remove individual favourites using their heart buttons. Blocking the essential session cookie prevents authentication and secure game requests. Guest balances are not stored in local storage.
The Google tag script loads on every page, but analytics measurement and cookies remain disabled until permission. After permission, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Recognised campaign parameters can be measured for attribution; private pages, searches and non-campaign query parameters are excluded. Analytics cookies have a maximum lifetime of 180 days without extending it on each visit. Rejecting or withdrawing consent stops measurement and removes accessible Analytics cookies; the tag script remains installed.
